Biography
Dr. Lindsay Meredith, Professor of Marketing, earned all three of his degrees BA, MA and PhD at Simon Fraser University and, after stints as an international forest industry sales analyst and commodity broker, has been teaching at SFU for over 30 years. Consulting experience includes major multinational corporations, senior levels of the federal and provincial governments and major law firms. One of SFUs busiest media experts, Lindsay frequently provides perspective on important business issues for national and international newspapers, television stations and radio, work for which he was honoured with a SFU Presidents media award in 2001. Interviews have included BBC London, BBC World News, Voice of America - Asia (30 million listeners), Bloomberg's Business News, AP France, and major Chinese newspapers. Interviews completed to date - over 1700. Im a very big proponent of the very major responsibility that universities have, to be much more involved in their communities, he says. I strongly encourage professors that they have a responsibility to work with the media. Lindsays research interests focuses on business-to-business marketing and includes demand estimation, customer profiles, marketing data and databank analyses. He also sits on the review boards of a number of publications, including The Journal of Industrial Marketing Management and Business and Industrial Marketing
